An E-Chopper is an electric scooter, also called an E-scooter. The thick tires, high handlebars and special seat make riding an E-chopper a unique experience that cannot be compared to riding an e-scooter. Come by and experience it for yourself, laughter guaranteed!
An E-Chopper has a maximum range of about 55 km. This means that you can easily take a nice day tour around Haarlem and the beautiful surrounding villages such as Zandvoort, Spaarndam or Bloemendaal.
To drive an E-Chopper, a moped certificate, car license or motorcycle license is required. The E-chopper has a blue license plate and therefore falls under the category of mopeds.
The E-choppers are made for one person. That is why it is unfortunately not possible to ride an E-chopper with two people. At Hartje Haarlem we have very cool E-fat bikes available, for which no driver's license is required. The E-fat bikes have just as much range and speed as the E-chopper. Is there someone in your group of friends, company outing or family who does not have a driver's license? Then you can ride very well with E-Choppers and combine E-Fatbikes!
The maximum speed of an E-chopper is 30 km/h.
The legislation for an E-chopper is the same as for other mopeds. This means that you can drive on roads that are indicated with a blue round sign with the icon of a bicycle. Both bicycles and mopeds are allowed on these paths. A road indicated by a rectangular blue sign with the text 'CYCLE PATH' is only accessible to cyclists. You are not allowed to drive an E-chopper here. Don't know where you want to drive or how to get there? Then use one of our routes with an easy navigation app!

An E-chopper is a 100% electric scooter, powered by an electric motor. The E-chopper therefore has no exhaust gases and is extremely quiet. This allows you to have a nice chat with each other while driving!
